Large, Cast-Iron, Lard-Rendering Kettle/Stove

Rare, cast-iron butcher’s stove, with deep kettle for lard rendering, circa early 1900s. Exterior frame is decorated with relief of cattle heads. Frame sits on four cast claw feet, and also comes with three-legged mounting rack. This model, called the “Kenwood”, was manufactured by the Wehrle Co. of Newark, Ohio, and the stove contains a cast of the brand identification.
