Classic Mahogany Bookcase, with Zinc Glass, Circa 1910

Outstanding mahogany bookcase, circa 1910. with zinc-glass doors, finely carved crown, floral inlays on trim, and lighted shelves. Structural elements include two upper leaded-glass doors with four upper shelves, and two curved lower doors with matching curved wood shelves. Back panel in upper cabinet includes typewritten historical tag documenting original installation in railroad car reportedly owned by steel industry magnate Andrew Carnegie.
