Hand-Crafted 1970s Diorama of Bar Scene

Humorous folk-art diorama reproduction, circa early 1970s, with various cast figures of customers and bar tender inside a neighborhood bar. Frame consists of barroom scene set into a back and side wall, with mirrors and a doorway leading to a back hallway. Has many fine details, including beer mugs, mirrors on back sections of scene, a stuffed moose head on the wall, a cigarette stub in an ashtray, checkerboard floor tile, and even a Wurlitzer juke box. Original art was created by Texas artist Michael Garman, with main frame consisting of carved wooden structure and then original figures made out of micro-crystalline wax-based clay. For the limited run of reproductions, of which this piece was one, the artist used a latex rubber mold for each figure and created duplicates using mixture of polyurethane casting resin and marble dust. All figures were then painted and placed into the diorama.
