Classic “Majestic” Saloon Back Bar

Classic, 20-foot-wide, carved walnut Majestic model Brunswick triple-arch saloon back bar, recently acquired from a regional establishment in northern Indiana. As with many surviving bars from the U.S. Prohibition period of the early 20th Century, this bar does not have a matching front bar. (Many front bars of this period were destroyed during police raids at the time.)

Large, triple-arch design includes four extra wide carved columns with capitals, linear crown with angled edges and geometrically carved trim, decorated arches with hanging light fixtures, egg-and-dart molding on the center and corners of upper frame, ornate floral relief, and three shaped back mirrors. Lower base of frame includes six cabinets with hinged doors and matching drawers, plus large open center stacking shelf. Original bar was produced by the historical Cincinnati company, J.M. Brunswick Manufacturing Co., in the late 1800s.

Note: This is a back bar only.
