Classic 1900s “Brunswick” Del Monte Saloon Bar

This iconic, 26-foot-wide “Del Monte” triple-arch saloon bar was the top-of-the-line of all the Brunswick bars in the early 1900s. This piece was purchased from a closed restaurant in San Antonio, Texas. The back bar is curly birch, with stained mahogany, and it showcases a massive, eye-catching flying buttress crown and egg-and-art relief molding. Under the crown are three arches with shaped glass mirrors and four large carved columns with floral carved capitals. Base includes three shaped mirrors, four cabinets, eight drawers and two open shelves under center drawers.

Original back bar was produced by the historical Cincinnati company, J.M. Brunswick Manufacturing Co., in 1903, as confirmed by a metal product tag on the upper center crown. (This tag reads, “Patented December 8th, 1903.”) Front bar has been undergoing restoration by Wooden Nickel Antiques, with parts being replaced with vintage materials.
