1860s Figural Marble Half Mantel

Very rare, 1860s carved marble figural half mantel, with arched opening, carved faces and figures of mythical female characters on each corner, cast-iron fireplace frame and several sections of marble backing behind the iron. Includes shaped mantel shelf, coat of arms-style emblem in center of the frame and deep geometrical relief and contours around the arch. Based on its scarcity of this very artistic type of mantel, we recommend this as a standout piece.
