Gold “Eastlake” Overmantel Mirror, ca 1880s

Large, vintage Eastlake overmantel mirror, circa 1880s, with gold-painted carved frame which has angular and linear details on the frame. Crown has small center block structure with an inset galley railing with carved spindles and shaped decorative accents, plus scrolled braces at top and bottom sides of frame. Carved relief on frame includes floral accents and bead work. This is a very versatile piece that could also be used as hall mirror.
