Large Arched Stained Glass Window
Large, vertical stained glass panel window, in arched wooden frame, salvaged from a historical building with civic theme of “Justice” labeled in the panes at the bottom. Artwork shows a mythical female figure representing Justice on the steps of a temple, surrounded by cherubs above, with the Scales of Justice and a globe of the Earth in her hands, and two children representing equality at the bottom. Piece was created by the historical Chicago stained glass window maker, J.J. Kinsella Studios, circa late 1800s, and the company’s original name identification is included in a panel on the bottom edge.
