Eastlake Half Mantel, with Deep Return Side

Deluxe vintage carved Eastlake half mantel, with extended wall frame for deeper return side. Includes many carved details, including small shaped columns on front frame, recessed front panels on frame, rustic floral relief, and recessed side panels.

This piece was included in a collection of furniture recently acquired by Wooden Nickel Antiques which originated from the historic, 156-year-old Morrison House, located in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati. This property – first built in 1867 and remodeled in 1880 – is an impressive, three-story, red-brick, Italianate structure of the Victorian era. And it had been home to many unique, late-1800s period pieces of furniture and decorative items, such as this one.
